OCP Legislation

The District of Columbia Official Code (the "DC Code") is a compilation of codified laws that were created as a result of legislative action taken by the Council and/or the Mayor of the District of Columbia to enact laws that govern the District of Columbia. The laws within the DC Code are approved by the Council and the Mayor of the District of Columbia and are amended several times each year.

The DC Code is organized into eight divisions of law, of which Chapter 3, "Procurement" within the Government Organization division, governs the official laws of contracting and procurement within the District. During the year, Emergency legislation, Temporary legislation, Proposed legislation, and Permanent legislation is introduced and approved by the Council which may amend, revise or repeal the current language to the DC Code.

The Office of Contracting and Procurement is placing on this website only the updates to the DC Official Code §2-301.01 et seq. If you wish to see the entire DC Code, please select this link.
